Review: Tied to Trouble (Gamers #3) by Megan Erickson

Between love and hate, there's a whole lot of trouble…

Chad Lake only showed up at his sister's party for the free food, but when he spots an uptight nerd at the edge of the crowd, he can't resist trying to ruffle the guy's perfect bow tie and impeccable hair. The hottie's ready for him, though, and in the end, it's Chad who's left wide-eyed, his ears still ringing with the filthy things Bow Tie whispered in his ear. No one gets the upper hand on Chad. Ever.

Owen Hawkins has heard all about the cocky Adonis from Chad's sister—the same sister who holds Owen's career advancement in her hands. He has every intention of steering clear of the other man…until Chad's sexy taunts push him too far. There's something intriguing about Chad, and even though Owen knows that getting tangled up with the infuriating man is trouble, he can't seem to stay away…

Tied to Trouble is an opposites attract story with super hot sex and nerds-how can you go wrong!

Chad Lake is ready to settle down. The proverbial party boy, he’s never had a steady job, never had a serious relationship, and felt going to school was just too constricting. Things start to change when he meets Owen, nerdy, steady, and all the things opposite of Chad. He’s attracted to him and his uptightness-and he can’t figure out why. He wears horned-rimmed glasses and a bow tie for gosh sake! He doesn’t even like him! But after a few words reduces Chad to blushes, he’s hooked!

Owen works with Marley, Chad’s sister, and has heard all the sordid stories about her brother Chad. He knows he should stay clear but Chad pushes his buttons, and Owen becomes someone whose determined and confidant. He’s definitely intrigued with Chad but is wary of his playboy ways. He knows getting involved could be all sorts of trouble, but when Chad looks at him, he just can’t seem to stay away!

I wholeheartedly embraced this book! I loved the whole premise and felt Megan Erickson did a wonderful job of melding these two opposites into a cohesive bond. They complimented each other-Chad brought out the playfulness in Owen, and Owen brought out Chad’s need to make something of himself. Neither put up with the other’s crap and called them out on it regularly! And what about the chemistry you ask?? Geez! It was smoking hot! Both did things that expanded their limits and found that it was ok to do that. Yes, there were a couple of things Chad did that were just bad, but I understood they were his defense mechanism kicking in.

Tied to Trouble is the third book in the Gamers series, but it can be read as a standalone. Yes there are characters from the other books here, but they added to the story. You didn’t need to read their stories to enjoy this one. You will love reading this, and if you haven’t read Changing His Game(#1) or Playing For Her Heart(#2), you will want to go read those as well!!!!
