Review: Tiger’s Lily (Wind Warriors #1) by Cheyenne Meadows

When a wounded man shows up, Lily agrees to nurse him back to health, not realising she would fall for his scowling brother. She vows to teach him to smile even as revenge seeking criminals threaten their lives.

Lily’s peaceful life in a small town vanishes when two men arrive, one carrying a bullet wound. She’s nominated to provide private nursing care in her home and grudgingly accepts despite her uncertainty. She soon finds herself drawn to the scowling Cale.

Cale, a.k.a. Tiger, isn’t thrilled either, but agrees to the arrangement for his wounded brother’s sake. He’d learned a hard lesson from his deceitful barracuda ex-wife and vows never again. With a handful of revenge seeking criminals hot on their heels, Cale fights his developing feelings for the tender-natured Lily.

Can the brothers survive the upcoming clash while protecting Lily? When they leave, will Lily’s fears come true? Will she never see the man she loves again?

Lily agrees to provide private nursing care for a wounded man and soon finds herself falling for his brother in this riveting romance.  Cale begrudging accepts Lily’s help in caring for his brother and soon find himself devolping for the tender-hearted young woman.

This fast paced and smooth flowing plot captures the heart with drama and romance with a some danger and excitement added to spice things up.  The author describes the story with well written scenes and details that capture the imagination while the well orchestrated drama, suspense and the strong compelling characters draw the reader deeper into the story.

The heat between Lily and Cale start sizzling at first meeting despite the drama filled moment and builds to blazing as they get to know each other and then heading straight to scorching with some hot and steamy sex scenes.  The reader can’t help but get caught up in emotional turmoil and drama as Cale fights his attraction to Lily because he has no intention of ever taking a chance on another woman after his ex, but Lily’s tender-hearted innocence sneaks into his heart and begins dethawing the ice.

The Wind Warriors are a secret group of tough guys that work for the government and on their last mission, Cale’s brother was wounded and some of the bad guys will be coming for them which puts Lily in danger. But Lily’s no shrinking violet despite her tender-heartedness.

The story is enjoyable and entertaining and full of emotional drama and passion with some snarky dialogue that causes quite a few chuckles and while there is some danger and excitement, I think I was expecting more than there was, but the romance and story were good so I will be waiting to read about the next Wind Warrior.
