Review: Time Out by Sean Michael

Val and Chaz broke up after Chaz safeworded unnecessarily during a scene. Can they find a way to come back together?

A few months ago Chaz safeworded during a scene, just because he was feeling neglected and bitchy. Val was understandably upset that his sub lied and the two of them split up. Now it's months later and Val is miserable to be around, so his friend sends him to cottage country to his private house there to vacation and get over himself. At least that's what Val thinks is happening. In reality, Chaz has also been lured to the lake house and is waiting there so they can hopefully get back together.

Despite his shock at finding Chaz at the lake-house, Val decides to do a scene. Will it be the last scene they share or will they find a way to move past what happened?

In the middle of a scene, Val’s sub, Chaz safe-worded out.  Seemingly for no reason.  Chaz ran. Val’s world fell apart.  After a couple of months, Val’s friend, Bailey offers his lake house as a getaway for the weekend. Feeling miserable, he decides to take Bailey up on his offer and go relax.
Once he arrives, he finds he’s been set up by his friend.  He finds Chaz strapped to a St. Andrew’s cross waiting for him. Chaz realizes the set up when Val is still very angry with him. Val intends to take his revenge on Chaz, but finds his feelings for Chaz are much more than he ever knew. Chaz tried to leave, but Val wants to work it out. Does Chaz still want him?? Can Val convince him to stay and talk?

I enjoyed this quick romp! It was short, to the point, and hot!  I loved how the guys finally let out their issues and really talked about what they felt and what they wanted from each other!  Sean Michael has a way with words and it showed in this short story! Time Out is a very alluring and entertaining read!
