Review: Training Rain (Psychic Mates #3) by A.S. Fenichel

Having spent most of her life avoiding people and hiding her psychic gifts, Rain was shocked when the new Psi Alliance asked her to join. She didn’t count on the rigorous training or needing all of her Native American knowledge to complete the course. And if only she could ignore her attraction to her devilishly handsome instructor.
Jess shows up to train a new psychic recruit and the crazy woman shoots him in the doorway. His new student is the raven-haired beauty who’d once saved his life. Trying to keep his focus on survival training is hard enough without the added stress of a rogue government agency trying to kill them.

Escaping danger leads them directly into each other’s arms. The only question is—can they survive long enough to find comfort there?

A Romantica® paranormal erotic romance from Ellora’s Cave.

Rain is the Psi Alliance’s newest recruit and Jess is finding it hard to focus on survival training and not just because of the rogue government agency trying to kill them and escaping danger is only leading them straight into each other’s arms in this thrilling paranormal romance.

This fast paced and smooth flowing plot keeps readers on the edge of their seat with lots of suspense, action and romance. The author brings the story to life with well written scenes and details that capture the imagination and strong compelling characters that invite the reader to join them in their adventure. The well orchestrated suspense and action is believable, exciting and draws the reader deeper into the story.

The attraction between Rain and Jess burns up the pages with some hot and steamy sex scenes but the relationship has a few obstacles to overcome. The reader can’t help but get caught up in the story as the strong and sexy Jess tries to protect Rain who is a healer but Rain has hidden depths that take Jess and the reader by surprise. This couple grabs reader’s attentions with contradictory personalities, they are opposites in a way – which accounts for a few clashes – but the same in other ways and together they make a formidable team.

The danger from the rogue government is an ongoing problem for the Psi Alliance which keeps everyone on their toes and anticipation building throughout the story and the author adds a few surprising twists to spice things up. This fascinating world and captivating characters has certainly caught my interest and there was never a dull moment is this enjoyable and entertaining read and I can’t wait to read the next one.
