Title: Trapped with the Cyborg
The only thing more dangerous than a suicide mission is falling in love…
Amanda Mansfield has faced challenges in her life: the disapproval of her critical father and the near-fatal accident that ended a promising military career and resulted in her transformation to cyborg. Now a Cyber Operations field agent, she volunteers to lead the most dangerous Cy-Ops mission ever: infiltrating enemy territory to find the secret hideaway of a terrorist mastermind. The last thing she needs is an added complication.
Like him. Sonny Masters. Her partner. A streetwise former thug turned cyber operative with a lethal grin. He can’t seem to understand she’s in charge and does not require his protection. He’s everything she dislikes—and everything her body wants.
If they can keep their hands off each other long enough to complete the mission, they might just get out alive…

Tired of never measuring up and afraid of rejection, Amanda aka Manny, has come up with a foolproof albeit suicide mission to find the location of a terrorist leader. In order to do that Amanda needs to go undercover as an Lamis-Odd trying to mate the son of said leader, Kilead. Samson aka Sonny is to be disguised as her brother who is looking for a mate or his sister. But only 24 hours before she rocked his world then left, leaving nothing behind but the outline of her body on the window. This suicide mission goes from bad to worse the more time spent on Lamis-Odg and they will have to fight to the death to make it out alive.
This is book 4 of the Cy-Ops Sci-fi Romance series by Cara Bristol. Luckily for me this one can be read as a standalone that if it weren’t for real life getting in the way I would have devoured this book withing a few hours. I never really liked sci-fi romances but they are definitely growing on me. This book gave a lot of explanation that without it I would have been totally lost.
Amanda was the perfect blend of strength, brawn, brains, and take-no-prisoners attitude. In a male dominated world where women always need protecting she has proven her worth even if deep inside she just wants daddy’s approval. Sonny has already lost someone he loved but couldn’t save and he will not lose Amanda. Through their mission they fall and love and where before death was inevitable, they will do all in their power to live to fight another day.
Overall, the story flowed nicely and the steamy scenes in-between fights were hot. Some unexpected twists had me glued to the last couple of chapters and I could not get enough. Now, time to go back and read where Cy-operatives all started!
