The first book in the Ever After series is an intriguing and erotic spin on the classic fairy tale “Little Red Riding Hood” that keeps readers on their toes.
Rowan’s world is turned upside down when the handsome and dangerous Luc strolls into her life with a tale about “the one in red” and how she’s supposed to kill the Big Bad Wolf.
This fast paced plot gives new meaning to classic fairy tales with fascinating characters and an intriguing world entered through the St. Louis Gateway Arch. The author brings this world to life with vivid imagery and details that make it easy for the reader feel as if they are part of the story. The characters are charming, devious and mysterious and grab the reader’s attention immediately.
The attraction between Rowan and Luc radiates from the pages with vibrant intensity and the sex scenes sizzle with hot and steamy passion. The relationship is hampered by the devious characters and plots. Rowan captures the heart with her strong attitude that is just a bit confused by all the different versions she’s being told of life she has no clue about. Luc is the mysterious and sexy alpha that the reader has to wonder just what he’s up to.
The author has certainly spiced up the fairy tale world with enchanting characters, magic, surprising twists and a delightful and entertaining story. The story has bad guys everywhere so the reader is not sure who trust anymore than the heroine does which keeps things real interesting.
I definitely found this to be an enjoyable and riveting read with wonderful characters and unique elements. Once I started this one, there was no putting it down and I can’t wait to read the next book in the series.
