Title: Valkyrie Awakening
Awakening to a new life isn't all Kyra hoped it would be, not when Grim isn't there. With Ragnarok in full swing, he is called away to fight before she even arrives. The majesty of Midgard and the halls of Valhalla dim without him by her side. Letters left by him help her cling to the hope that she'll see him again soon, and that he won't have forgotten her. In the mean time, she'll have to battle her attraction to another einherjar, as well as worse dangers that slither their way inside the very gates of Valhalla.

This intriguing and erotic story takes readers on an adventure of a lifetime; to the very halls of Valhalla where they can fight for Odin as legendary valkyries.
Kyra’s awakening to her new life is dampened by the fact that Grim is not there to share her arrival. While she awaits his return from battle, she will have to battle her attraction to another einherjar, as well as worse dangers that slither their way inside the very gates of Valhalla.
The steady paced plot keeps readers entertained throughout with suspense, action and erotic temptation. The author paints the story with vivid images and details that has the reader feeling as if they part of the story. The characters are strong and compelling and grab the reader’s attention from the very beginning. The author orchestrates the events and the battle that takes place with well written words that make them believable and gets the adrenalin pumping.
There is lots of erotic scenes in the story that are scorching hot and sizzling with passion, but it is Kyra’s love for Grim that brings true romance to the story as she fights her desires for others to stay true and wait for Grim’s return. The author describes the wonder and emotions that Kyra feels as her new life unfolds with vibrant intensity that draws the reader deeper into the story.
I had no idea that this was a sequel so obviously I haven’t read the first one, but that didn’t stop me from enjoying the novella. Although I will say that the beginning of the book was kind of on the slow side, the rest of the book more than makes up for it.
