Review: Vampires Never Cry Wolf (Dead in the City #3) by Sara Humphreys

Sadie Pemberton is the DJ at the hottest vampire club in New York City, and she loves her freedom almost as much as she hates werewolves. She has no desire to tie herself to anyone for eternity—even the deliciously sexy Killian Bane—werewolf prince and heir apparent who has been sent to patrol the city.

But Sadie bears the mark of the moon—the mark that Killian has been looking for, the mark that's meant to reveal his perfect mate. How can the fates be so cruel? Even more importantly, how is he ever going to change her mind?

Sadie Pemberton loves her freedom as much as she hates werewolves, but she bears the mark of the moon – the mark that’s meant to reveal Killian’s mate in this exciting paranormal romance.

Sadie has a history with werewolves and she’s not so sure she can trust the werewolf Prince who returns to her club night after night and Killian is a prince who doesn’t want to be king, especially if it means he can’t have Sadie. These combustible characters send passions soaring through the skies as they draw the reader into the story and refuse to let go and the fast paced and smooth flowing plot thrills readers with lots of suspense, excitement and romance. Lots of sparks flying in every direction, snarky dialogue and explosive desires make this one red hot courtship – one that is not only swoon worthy but worth giving up a throne for.

Spine tingling anticipation builds as danger escalates toward Killian because his moving to New York City has some old school vamps a little hot under the collar and to spice things up even more the author keeps readers on their toes with some surprising twists that the reader has no idea is coming for example – Sadie has some interesting side affects to mating that spook the heck out of her. The well written scenes capture the imagination and ensure that the reader becomes part of the story as the well orchestrated events ensure that there is never a dull moment.

DaKota says that this is “one weird f****** family” and he might be right because the New York City Vamps have some interesting problems that are most definitely intriguing and they ensure that I have a great time each and every time I visit, so of course I can’t wait to find out what happens next.
