This science fiction fantasy romance is an intriguing read that crosses the futuristic with the historical.  When Wisteria is seen kissing the foreign tribesman Vulcan, she’s beaten and ostracized, before being taken by the blood thirsty barbarians.  Vulcan is the leader of a US Special Forces unit supposedly sent to planet Helixis to observe the native species, but discovers he’s part of a deceptive government plan. While he’s struggling with his conscience, he falls for the independent-minded Wisteria.

This steady to fast paced plot keeps readers shivering in anticipation with suspense, action and romance. The tension builds in many ones, one with the coming danger from then increasing hostile creatures on Helixis for the SF unit, but also as Wisteria is introduced to new experiences  so different from her own.  The author paints the story with vivid imagery and details that capture the imagination and makes it easy for the reader to picture each and every scene.  The strong and compelling characters are intriguing and easily related to.

The attraction between Wisteria and Vulcan radiates from every page and the sex scenes are hot and steamy, but the relationship appears to be doomed for several reasons, the main one being he will be going home once his mission is over.  The author conveys the emotions and personalities of the characters with such intensity that the reader easily gets caught up in their story.

The author blends the setting together seamlessly making this a very intriguing world of primitive and futuristic culture.   And with fascinating creatures as well as characters that arouse the curiosity and unexpected twists the reader doesn’t have time to get bored.  I really enjoyed this thrilling adventure of a read, although I do hope more questions are answered in the future books of the series.Vulcan's Woman
