Title: On Her Watch
The year is 2071 and all hell has broken loose. As the government tries to control the territories that were once the United States, an armed rebellion erupts . . .
AWOL from her military post, Lieutenant Liz Grant will do anything for the rebels she now calls friends. Her latest mission: return to the Beta Corps army and obtain classified information that could turn the battle in the revolutionaries' favor. There's only one problem: Commander Linc Cutler.
Strong, coldly handsome, and always in control, Linc is perplexed by the beautiful soldier brought in for questioning. He doesn't know if he believes her explanation for why she went missing. He only knows his intense sexual desire for her cannot be denied.

All the books I have read so far by author Rie Warren are done from a male first person POV. Now I know she has nailed each and every one of them so I was curious (being that this was Liz Grant’s story) to see how she would do with On Her Watch. No worries here…she nailed it.
Liz is of course military so I expected a tough woman but not so over the top that her feminine side would be lost. As for Linc, due to the first book in the series I walked in with a preconceived notion that he would be a arrogant jerk. He is after all the son of the CEO and thankfully I was wrong. Actually, he was the perfect yin to her yang. He brought out her soft side while she allowed him to be who he really was. The sex between them was hot and intense but it was their interactions that got me going. I do love a book that is filled with action and between these two, whether it was in the sack having sex or in the field fighting, there was quite a lot to be had. Both seem to have their own missions going on and I completely lost myself in the story as I took it all in. Everything is very it’s intense and at time highly emotional. And OMG all the secondary characters! I loved Caspar and Nathaniel the first time around and I was very happy to get to experience them again. Also making a comeback is Darke and Leon, I know these two are getting their own story and I can’t wait to sink my teeth into that!
I feel the need to warn anybody who decides to read On Her Watch that you cannot read this book without having read book #1 in the series. There is a lot that will be missed out on, a lot of background and history that you need to know to be able to appreciate what is going on in this Don’t Tell series. Not only do you need to know the history of the people but without reading the series in order, it can be very confusing to follow how this dystopian society has gotten to the point of where it is at and where its future is going…that is if the ones against the Company have any say in the matter.
All that ‘what you need to read’ aside, I do highly recommend reading On Her Watch. Heck, I recommend reading anything by author Rie Warren and not because she’s my latest author addiction. Ms. Warren writes one mean story and anybody NOT reading her is missing out.
