Review: Wilde Nights in Paradise (A Wilde Security Novel) by Tonya Burrows

He’ll guard her body all night long.

Former Marine Jude Wilde’s motto has always been “burn bridges and never look back,” so nobody is more surprised when Wilde Security is hired to protect assistant district attorney Libby Pruitt, the woman he loved and left. Although she makes it clear she wants nothing to do with Jude, they’re forced to fake a relationship for her safety. He can’t ignore the heat still simmering between them, and when her stalker’s threats escalate to attempted murder, he’s left with no choice but to whisk her away to a friend’s safe house in Key West, FL.

Cooped up in paradise together, Jude begins to chip away at Libby’s resolve to hate him. But even as she gives in to his proximity and her body’s demands for his, she refuses to fall for his charms again. Maybe a torrid affair in the sun is exactly what she needs to get him out of her system. But when her stalker tracks them down, can they escape the steamy Key West night without anyone getting hurt?

Jade broke Libby’s heart 8 years ago. And regretted it every day since then. He has silently been carrying a torch for her all these years, when all of a sudden she is thrust into his life. Some psycho is stalking her and she refuses to take it seriously. Enter Jade and his brothers’ security company. Finally Jade gets the chance to prove to her that he isn’t the dog she thinks he is.

This was an amazingly great read. The characters were so much fun. It was especially fun watching Jade interact with his 4 Wilde brothers. Kind of makes me wish I could climb into the lives of all 5 brothers and just observe forever. Amazing chemistry between Jade and Libby made for an exciting read that had me coming back for more time and time again.

There was just enough suspense and mystery for me to keep guessing, and stay on my toes. And just enough action for me to thoroughly enjoy the story. The world was created in such an amazing way that I, myself felt like I was on holiday in the Key West.

Jade was a fantastically complex character. He is the type of hero that makes it hard for us girls in the real world to fall in love. No one ever comes close to what is created so well. He is obviously a bit arrogant and sure of himself, or so it seems. Until you discover the insecurities, the fun and the nice guy buried beneath the jerk. Libby on the other hand was really stuck up, stubborn and un-fun until Jade started crawling back into her heart. It really was very fun to see her fall in love with him all over again.
