Review: Witch Hunter (The Ravens Hollow #1) by Shari Nichols

Determined MBI (Magickal Bureau of investigations)agent Alex Denopoulos will stop at nothing to catch a killer, including recruit notorious felon, Willow McCray to work for the agency. The lines between duty and passion become blurred the more time he spends with the sultry witch. In the midst of the investigation, they succumb to the dark edges of desire, placing both their lives in danger. Alex will risk more than his badge to keep her alive.

Kick-ass witch Willow must use her powers for good if she wants to stay out of Hellios, a mage prison for those who have broken the Wiccan Rede of ‘Harm ye None.’ Willow never expects to fall so hard for Alex, a mortal with a penchant for justice and a deep seated hatred of witches. Though a future together seems impossible, she doesn’t want to let him go.

Can she vanquish the evil surrounding them and give Alex her mind and body before she loses her heart and maybe her soul?

Kick-ass witch, Willow McCray must use her powers for good if she hopes to stay out of the mage prison Hellios, too bad the sexy MBI agent she is supposed to assist has a thing against witches and felons in this riveting paranormal romance.

This fast paced and smooth flowing plot keeps readers on their toes with suspense, action and passion. The fascinating world draws the reader in and the strong compelling characters grab the reader’s attention ensuring that the reader wants to visit awhile and really get to know the inhabitants of Ravens Hollow. Alex Denopoulos will do whatever it takes to stop a sadistic killer even working with the notorious witch but he doesn’t have to like it. The reader can’t help but get caught up in the story as sparks fly in every direction not only from their attraction but because of how much they fight said attraction which leaves the relationship growth on the down side, but desires on the up side with frequent white hot sex scenes that rock their worlds.

Spine tingling anticipation builds as the two investigate the murders and the escalating danger as Willow becomes a target and the well written and orchestrated scenes and details paints vivid images and ensures that the reader feels as if they are part of the action. The emotional turmoil of both of the main characters adds lots of depth to the story and captures the heart of the readers with the addition of smaller plots and conflicts spicing the story up and ensuring that the reader never gets bored.

The author has created a fascinating new paranormal world full of interesting elements and intriguing characters including some hot and sexy possible book boyfriends and promises to be an entertaining series. Since, I was completely enthralled from the very beginning and I can’t wait to find out what happens next in Ravens Hollow, I will be keeping my eye on this new author.
